Demonic Resurrection/Melechesh – double trouble
I had this on order as soon as Terrorizer reviewed it – words such as ‘Opeth meets Dimmu’ and ‘progressive melodeath’ tend to excite me, as do mentions of ‘monumental drummers’. The boys at the T weren’t wrong (and the one girl I can think of – lady Brown herself), as that one track from their latest album is pretty damn solid, but dare I suggest a black element, Emperor-esque with the keys? A full review will of course follow.
I had been resisting listening to their preview track from ‘Epigenesis’. I caved all of 5 minutes ago. The 4th of October can’t come fast enough now, as this album is going to be absolutely fucking INSANE if it even follows that one track’s suit. The drumming, the speed, the increased ethnic instrumentation! Wet dream!
