Here it begins…

At long last, the painfully-anticipated Storm Corrosion album, a brilliant collaboration between Steven Wilson (from Porcupine Tree and his eponymous music project) and Mikael Akerfeldt (if you don’t know who he is, leave now), is about to see the light of day. To whet our impatience, they have given us a teaser in the form of the first track from the forthcoming self-titled album.

While it’s not metal (even remotely), Mikael’s involvement makes it of reasonable relevance. If you have any appreciation for Opeth’s lighter fare or for anything Wilson’s had a hand in, then listen to this with an intelligent ear. If you’re just a hater who loathes anything even remotely mellow, kindly go forth, be fruitful and fuck yourself.
