Vinyl – two little gems: Deep Purple’s In Rock and Iron Maiden – Iron Maiden

I really don’t know what I hadn’t purchased In Rock previously – it is a magnificent album and I have definitely seen it about for very reasonable prices. I picked it up today from a market stall for £5 – its in very good nick but is a reissue of uncertain date, but such things don’t really matter to me. So long as it plays well, I will happily pay money for it, as the music is the main thing for me, financial gain taking a far second in my estimations. I am very happy to add this to my collection, and now only lack Who do We think we Are, Stormbringer and Come Taste the Band from Deep Purple’s purple patch. (Come taste the Band is an odd one – the only album with Tommy Bolin on guitar, with vocals from Coverdale, Hughes and Bolin. One I really should listen to more often, I must admit).

As for the Maiden – well, its their best album and I love it, so yes, I will gladly pick up my fourth copy for £5.
