Bloodshot Dawn – Godless video and free download

Bloodshot Dawn have here produced another very solid video to support their debut album. Their first video, Vision, is a rather minimalist affair – just shots of the band running through their superb technical melodic death metal. It delivered exactly what was required – a visual introduction to the band, their style, their image and their musical identity.

Godless, their second video, is a rather different beast – more adventurous camera angles, lighting, settings, more of the same energy and personality from the band. In a sense it is a natural progression, from the ‘baby step’ of Vision to the more artistic, visually stimulating Godless. This isn’t to detract from Vision, mind – I still love the simplicity, but Godless shows the band in a more open light, more akin to how they would appear live, out of doors.

In addition to the new video, Godless itself is now available for free download from Bloodshot’s bandcamp, so go check it out! The press release mentions upcoming tours of Japan, India and Western Europe – very brave and commendable from a band that is unsigned. The boys plainly have ambition to match their talent, and as such I for one will keep an eye on them, with an eye to catching them live in the near future.
