World Metal Alliance

Long story short, I am proud to say STS is supporting the World Metal Alliance.

Here is a bit of background on the WMA. (click it you dumb ass)

It is only natural to seek out ways of gaining more readers of the blog. It’s futile to be posting content just just read your own words. A month ago I posted this. Kind of a mini mission statement of what we are about. WMA was close to a top hit with a Google search. As I fished around a bit, the site seemed to be a good place to start spreading the word about this “blog”. its user base seems awfully quiet for a site with roots as deep as 92 or earlier. I emailed the first moderator I could see, which turned out to be Soldier66, who in turn sent me a rather large email explaining the site. I was floored. Between all this I was reading up an a fallen member of the WMA . I was touched that a community was so torn and yet pulled together all at the same time.

Bunch of stuff in between, impressed by members Corpsemolester, Doc, Blizzard and Minister, it made sense as a natural evolution of The Steel blog/zine to “promote” a site with long and honorable roots to the Metal scene and such a large member base. from here on in, a link will be posted per entry (reviews, interviews, stuff of relevance) directing you to the WMA so you too can take part. What the Steel is striving for is ultimately allowing you, the end user, to interact with us. Give us your comments, positive or negative. You have a right to an opinion. If you hate the fact we have disliked or liked something you have another opinion on, OR agree on? Please add your comments. (I am telling you now, I will pull no punches. I am am who I am! Nor can I see my friends doing the same! :D ) Eventually we want you to give us some questions you may wish to get an answer on from these artists. Possibly even have the artists log in to interact with us.

I will also take this time to apologize for how quiet it has been from my camp. I have not the time, or really in the mood (its been pretty tough) to pick up new material (some is on its way in the mail!). I am looking to move all this content to my own server. WordPress is awesome, but we are limited to control, and I figure for the same money per year (applied to WP), I could host it on my own, retaining the content.

Anyways, log on to the WMA, create an account, if you have not already done so. Interact with us. Converse. goof off. Whatever. We need to hear from you.
